You want that honest friend that’s going to tell you you look fat in that dress? Well, you’ve found him. And he says you look fat in that dress. But he’s not a complete jerk. He says, “Try the vertical stripes, or the black one, or the black one with the vertical stripes.” Phil Grech writes and Phil Grech destroys, but he does it with a smile.

Phil Grech is a writer living in St. Augustine. He published his first book, Don’t Waste Your Hands with Blue Cubicle Press in July 2009. He just completed a novel entitled Colony Under the Bridge. He has written for magazines as a staff writer and contributing writer and written for newspapers. He writes literary fiction and humorous literary nonfiction. He prides himself on not being boastful. He pities the insecure. He began every sentence in this paragraph with “he” and that is not an indication of his quality of writing.

Note: I was joking when I said I like to sit on a rock and watch birds because it’s mellowing. In reality, I like to listen to Slayer and break glass.
