About Phil Grech

Phil Grech is a Ph.D. Literature student at Florida State University. He specializes in American literature and culture before 1900. His research interests include philosophy, social sciences, politics, protests, revolutions, insurgencies, affect theory, crowd theory, and psychoanalysis.

His forthcoming article “The Science of Psychopathy and Poe’s ‘The Man of the Crowd'” will be published in the Spring 2018 issue of The Edgar Allan Poe Review.

He has presented papers at the Northeast Modern Language Association, How to Feel About Affect conference at the University of Florida, and others.

He teaches composition and American Literature courses. Phil has an MA in English from Florida State University and a BA in English and philosophy from Flagler College (St. Augustine, FL).
